This is a word game that pits you against your computer. It is similar to Scrabble in that you and the computer take turns trying to form a word, but with this game you play using only one letter at a time. "Valid" words are in either a Scrabble word list, or a smaller, less challenging list; you choose which list to use at the beginning of the game. The minimum length of a word is three letters. A word is scorable only if it is bordered on both sides either by a blank square or the edge of the playing board. A word can be formed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. A word can be formed reading backwards.

Here is the playing board. A yellow star in a square acts as a multiplier of the initial score for forming a word: one star in the word doubles the score, two stars triple the score, and so on. For any particular game, you might not see any yellow stars on the board; they are generated randomly for each game. (I've put two on the board here so you can see what they look like.) There is a substantial bonus for making a six-letter word.

At the beginning of a game you will choose the color of the letters you will play with. The computer will be assigned another color. When you form a word, copies of the letters will move from the board into your "container," which you see on your left. The container will fill with your color. When you have formed enough words to completely fill your container before the computer fills its, you will win the game.

The six colored squares on the bottom left comprise your letter tray. The letters that you and the computer use will be randomly selected. The right-most letter in your tray will always be the one you play with. To play that letter, left click once on any unused square of the playing board and your letter will move to that square, after which the remaining letters in your tray will slide to the right and a new letter will move into the extreme left of your tray. It will then be the computer's turn. There's one final thing to mention: During play you may change the background color of the whole screen by left-clicking the area between your container and the playing board. A pop-up menu will show ten colors to choose from.  And now you're ready to begin.
